The Walvis Bay Town Council has approved its subsidised impoundment fee to the local SPCA from a current N$35 per day to N$51 per day. The impoundment fee is applicable for an impounded animal’s first three days of stay at the S.P.C.A. kennels.
The S.P.C.A. has a constant challenge with rising costs. The municipality of Walvis Bay increased the impoundment fee, in an effort to alleviate the financial burden of the SPCA.
