The 57-year-old Mr Alfeus Heingo was crushed under a front-end loader at Karibib on Monday, after the heavy earthmoving machine rolled down an embankment. Heingo died on the spot.
According to the Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator for Erongo, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Ikuuyu, the driver of the earthmoving machine lost control of it, causing the deadly accident. Heingo was a passenger on the front-end loader at the time.
The driver was briefly admitted to an Omaruru hospital.
