Liquor outlets with off-consumption liquor licenses closes at 18:00 since yesterday, as part of Government’s latest legislation to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

Off-consumption refers to outlets like grocery retail outlets, and bottle stores.
These outlets can still commence trading at 09:00, as is the current arrangement, but have to close at 18:00 (under normal circumstances it would be 19:00). The only exception is Saturdays when these outlets have to close at 13:00.
The current legal dispensation that governs Namibia’s response to the threat of the spread of the Coronavirus lapses at one minute to midnight on 30 December 2020.
