The Mine Workers Union of Namibia (MUN), Rössing Branch on Friday, 6 March made strong allegations against the new management at Rössing Mine. The new management is allegedly derailing the wage negotiations which commenced last year in November and have no intentions to negotiate.

Rössing Uranium Mine was officially handed over to China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) last year, where CNNC promised job security, a prolonged life span of the mine, better working conditions and recognition of MUN as the bargaining agent etc. and employees were very excited as they hoped for the best.
